The purpose of the Accreditation program is to foster the development and improvement in knowledge and professionalism within public entity pools in California. By joining together in implementing a self-regulation program through accreditation, all pools benefit from higher levels of technical and organizational skills.

Risk Management Accreditation Program
(CAJPA) sponsors the nation's first risk management Accreditation Program. This program established a model of professional standards, which serve as a guideline for all risk management pools regardless of size, scope of operation, or membership structure. MPA has been “Accredited with Excellence” since 1994.
